The base stations typically consists of transmitters, receivers,contollers,and a communications interface. These devices are typically housed in a small building or weather - proof enclosure. base station can be divided into base sttion transceiver(BTS) and base station controller (BSC) sections.The base station transceivers convert the audio signals from the system into RF signals that are communicated to the mobile radios.The BSC is the section that coordinates multiplw for BTS and BSCfunctions are commonly called the base station(BS).
