Mobile Identification Number or MIN refers to the 10-digit unique number that a wireless operator uses to identify the mobile phone. A MIN is a number that uniquely identifies a mobile working under TIA standards for Cellular and PCS technologies. (e.g. EIA/TIA–553 analog, IS–136 TDMA, IS–95 or IS-2000 CDMA).

Hi Guys! Uniquely identifies a mobile unit within a wireless carrier's network. The MIN often can be dialed from other wireless or wireline networks. The number differs from the electronic serial number (ESN), which is the unit number assigned by a phone manufacturer. MINs and ESNs can be checked electronically to help prevent fraud. Thanks.
