In general Authentication in UMTS contains five
components called UMTS quintuplets:
Random Number RAND,An expected Response XRES,Cypher Key CK,Integrity IK
Authentication Token AUTN. The MSC/VLRS handle UMTS quintuplets for UMTS subscribers.
