Depends on the ISP but normal spped is 53Kb/sec and upload speed can 6KB/Sec.

According to practical experience :

Max = 52kbps

Max Download = 13kbps

In my home i get the max download speed of 10.5kbps.

and speed of internet is 52kbps.

But it also depends of your exchange to home wire condition.

50.6 Kbps is the speed that was when you modem communicated with your ISP during an handshake. No one gets 56 Kbps on a dial up. According to international standards you only get 53 Kbps to the max. These speeds are currently considered the maximum possible; in many cases transfer speeds will be lower, averaging anywhere between 33-43 kbit/s. Factors such as phone line noise and conditions, as well as the quality of the modem itself, play a large part in determining connection speeds.And max download speed you can achieve is 10-15kbps.
