Both of these passwords are used at privilege exec mode .
enable password uses clear text format where as enable secret password uses encrypted text.
look it this way go to your router and apply privilege exec mode password using
enable password command.
after setting password
run following command
show running-config or sh run
the output will display your password in clear text.
now use enable secret command
to setup the password
show running-config or sh run
will now show your password in encrypted form.
the differnce will be clear to you.
