1*ISUP call (5 messages * 40 bytes each on average) = 200 bytes = 1600 bits (8 bit = 1 byte)
In theory 1 SS7 link data rate = 128000 bits per second (128 kps)
A fully utilized signaling link can handle a call rate of = (128000*0.25)/60 = 20 calls per second
In practice, with loading percentage per SS7 link is 25% for redundancy = (128000 * 0.25)/1600= 20 calls per second
We dimension number of SS7 links based on calls per seconds, not circuits.
