SIP is transported over primarily over UDP but can also be transported over TCP, and the default port for SIP is 5060. sip.studio.tellme.com listens for incoming SIP connection requests on port 5060. RTP is transported over UDP, with no standard port range. RTP ports are specified during SIP call establishment. Prospective users of sip.studio.tellme.com will need to do one of the following:
Purchase a SIP-aware firewall.
Punch holes through the existing firewall to allow bi-directional SIP and RTP.
Operate their SIP devices outside their firewall.
