Asterisk is typically configured as a stand-alone server, but it really performs at impressive levels when it is joined to other Asterisk boxes in a cluster. The potential of Asterisk is truly realized when several Asterisk servers are clustered together.
Just like any team, the output of the group is always more than the sum of its parts.

In my opinion yes Asterisk run as sharing the load with multiple servers,The potential of Asterisk is truly realized when several Asterisk servers are clustered together.
