Theoretically,there can be nine 1.25 MHz CDMA carriers per cell.Some PCS carriers are successfully using eleven 1.25MHz carriers per cell.Today,cellular carriers are using two to four carrier per cell.Theoretically each of these 1.25MHz carriers can handle 22 to 40 voice calls.
