you can be don an ip address either by going to internet protocol(Tcp/ip) and click properties then click Obtain an ip address automatically option.Or by giving an ip address manually.

Open the network connection and click properties and then click internet protocol(Tcp/ip) and click properties and the ip address 192.168.4.1 and press tab now windows automatically fills in your subnet mask.after completing this press ok and exit the window.Then click Advance in wireless network tab.in that click computer to computer networks only option and close the window and click add.
Now the wireless network properties dialog box appears.in that type a name for your network and then select disabled and press ok.now windows create your network
