Can somebody help me in knowing the difference between MUTEX and Semaphore? You can place a MUTEX Lock on a resource among processes/threads in order to lock it. When MUTEX is released, the resource is also released. A Semaphore is a signal raiser, or a token. When you wait for a MUTEX to be released, you might need to listen to a specific semaphore caused by the MUTEX release. Posted by bennith_samuel |
