Once you know what rules you want to create, it’s fairly easy to create them:

(1) In Outlook Express, click Tools | Message Rules | Mail.
(2) In the Message Rules dialog Box, click New.
(3) In the area select The Conditions for Your Rule, scroll and choose a condition.
(4) In the select The Actions for Your Rule area, choose an action to perform. To move the e-mail to a specific folder, check Move It to the Specified Folder. To delete it, check Delete It. Scroll through the choices to see others.
(5)In the third section, Rule Description, Click on each area in blue to configure the settings. These options will change depending on what you’ve chosen in steps 3 and 4, but for the most part, you’ll be required to make other selection from other selections from other dialog boxes. Shows a completed message rule.
(6)In the fourth section, name of the rule, type a descriptive name for the rule and click ok to apply it.
