Explain the concept of 'frequency reuse'. How it is done in
GSM and CDMA networks? Why the frequency reuse factor in CMDA networks is 1?

Therefore we have the reuse those frequency bands in other neighboring cells in such a very that a cell in a cluster is not near for another cell using same frequency band in another cluster, as it would cause interference. This is called frequency reuse. In GSM,we have the calculate Q,the co-channel reuse ratio (Q=D/R=3N) to determine how to reuse. In CDMA,since every user in distinguished from one another by unique code and not frequency, we use the same frequency band everywhere and hence frequency reuse factor is 1. Posted by ceeser |
