What is the 'near-far' problem in CDMA networks? Why it is a
problem and how it is been addressed?
howard 06-November-2007 07:16:26 PMComments The receiver when receiving from many transmitters must be able to receive each one of than at a constant power level. If one transmitter alone transmits more power due to it being near to the receiver then it affects the receiving reception of other transmitted signals. This is the near for problem. In CDMA power control is adopted where in the BS and MS exchange information so that they transmit at right power level. Posted by ceeser |
