The Seed laid by the Padmashriji is bloosming into sylvan symphony with a large chain of educational institutions through the meticulous planning and dynamic leadership of Shri Balasaheb Vikhe Patil 'the worthy son of worthy father'.
JNEC was established in 1983 under the aegis of Mahatma Gandhi Mission Trust lead by Chairman Kamalkishor Kadam having got his Engineering Education from IIT Mumbai. He had also been education minister of Maharashtra. The Foundation Stone of existing JNEC building was laid through the hands Hon Shri Sharad Pawar, then the Chief Minister, of Maharashtra on Nov 14,1985.
