In 2000, France Telecom entered as a strategic partner with Jordan Telecom Group. The French player gradually increased its shares in Jordan Telecom Group until it became the majority shareholder (51% of the shares) by 2006. Jordan Telecom Group integrated in 2006 to integrate its operations; Jordan Telecom- the fixed retail business unit, MobileCom- the mobile business unit, Wanadoo- the internet and data business unit, e-Dimension- the content business unit,and the wholesale business unit, to become the sole integrated operator in Jordan and the region.
