The new NetMotion Wireless is the combination of its two predecessor companies, Padcom, Inc. and NetMotion Wireless. Padcom was founded in 1989 with the goal of giving mobile workers easy-to-use and secure continuous wireless data connectivity. NetMotion Wireless was the developer of Mobility XE, a software-only solution for reliable, secure connectivity to enterprise networks and applications. NetMotion Wireless was spun off from WRQ, Inc. in 2001.
