Radio Communications Company in Waterloo (RCC-WL) was created in 1969 and was originally located in Cedar Falls Iowa. RCC-WL specialized in in two-way radio service and that same year was appointed as a General Electric Service Shop (GESS). The main focus was installing and maintaining GE two-way radio systems in the commercial-industrial and public safety markets. RCC-WL, maintained various communications systems in NE Iowa. With the increased business and the resulting additional personnel RCC-WL in 1975 moved to a larger facility in Waterloo to provide space. Over the next decade sales and service expanded and with changes in marketing products, a 13,000 square foot building on the corner of Falls Ave and Fletcher was purchased and remodeled. This facility was opened in 1994 and is in close proximity to major highways for easy access. Our 3600 Square foot display area is the largest of its kind in the Midwest.

Established in 1990, Home Technology Systems, Inc. J.W. Koehler Electric, Inc. was founded in 1969 by James W. Koehler. The firm concentrated on residential service work, house wiring and heating and air conditioning control systems. The work consisted of a combination of competitive bid and service contract work.In the late 1970's and early 1980's the home construction market began to slow down and a decision was made to expand into the industrial market, as this was a familiar area of expertise for Jim Koehler. The estimating staff was expanded in both the commercial and industrial areas and we began building a strong reputation for customer satisfaction and high quality installations. As a result of our aggressive and professional style, we experienced strong growth in the commercial and industrial markets with annual sales around $20 million. Today our client list includes the following customers with whom we share a long-term partnering relationship.

Advantage Cellular systems d/b/a DTC Wireless was founded in 1991 as a wholly owned subsidiary of it’s parent company DeKalb Telephone Cooperative. The headquarters of both companies are located in Alexandria, Tennessee. Advantage was licensed to provide service and operates 47 towers in the counties of Smith, DeKalb, Cannon, White, Warren, Van Buren, Coffee and Grundy, but was and remains today a nationwide carrier through agreements entered into with major roaming partners throughout the country. The company started providing service using analog technology. As technology continued to advance, so did Advantage Cellular Systems, later providing service using TDMA technology.

Conley Equipment Company was founded in in 1952 in Denver, Colorado under the name of Toncray Equipment Company. John Conley joined the company in 1972 and in 1981 purchased the assets and changed the name to Conley Equipment. Mr. Conley's vast power systems expertise helped transform the company from a leader in the Standby and Motive Power industry to a leader in the telecommunications industry, offering engineering, installation, integration, and "best of class" power systems products. In April of 2001, Matt Roberts, Walker Rheem and Kris Albright purchased the assets of the company and have continued the Conley tradition of quality, integrity and hard work.
