Dr. Ambedkar Institute Of Technology was established in 1980 by late Sri M.H. Jayaprakash Narayan, who was twice MLA,Ex-Syndicate/Senate member of Bangalore University, a visionary and an educationist. He was a strong follower of the Principles of the Bharatha Ratna Dr. B.R. Ambedkar.It is premier Institute built on the Ideals of Bharatha Ratna Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. It is a grant-in-aid institution of Government of Karnataka.
